Free typing game and typing test

Typing Terror is a free online typing game that doubles as a typing test. Zombies shuffle toward you, each with a word above its head. Type the word exactly and it explodes. Mistype it while a zombie is at close range and you lose a life. You get 30 seconds a round, three rounds, and a bonus round if you score high enough.

Because speed and accuracy both matter, it works as a fun way to practise typing and see how you handle pressure at the keyboard. There is nothing to download and no account to create: pick a callsign and play in your browser.

Office fun: challenge your coworkers

Looking for office fun that takes five minutes? Share the link with your team, pick the same game window, and see who tops the global leaderboard by the end of the lunch break. It is a quick, low-effort way to liven up a slow afternoon, a team social or a remote stand-up.

How to play

Type the word shown above the zombie. The shot fires automatically when the word is correct, so there is no need to press Enter. Closer zombies are worth fewer points, so shoot early. Press Enter only when you want to clear a typo, but remember that a miss at close range costs a life.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. It is a free browser game with no download and no signup.

Can I play at work?

Yes. It runs in any modern browser, so it suits breaks, team challenges and office socials. A physical keyboard gives the best experience.
